How do care providers keep track of their HIQA documents?
I'm Savino Vacchiero, an engineer on Enterprise Ireland's New Frontiers programme. I'm researching how care providers in Ireland manage their compliance paperwork, and where it gets hard.
What I'm looking at
Every designated centre is registered and inspected on its own. Each one needs current policies, training records, fire safety records and staff vetting, and a registration renewal pack sent to HIQA six months before its registration runs out.
I want to understand, from the people who do this work:
- how you know what's current, what's expiring and what's missing;
- how long it takes to get ready for an inspection or a renewal;
- what you use today, and what it doesn't do.
What I'm not doing
I'm not selling anything. I want to understand the problem properly before building anything. I'm not connected to HIQA or the HSE.
